Have you been having trouble sleeping, maybe it’s hard to turn your thoughts off? Have you wondered “Why am I like this? What is wrong with me?” “My problems aren’t even that bad. I should be grateful.” If so, let’s work together to identify and learn techniques to manage and recognize those thoughts for what they are- unhelpful thinking habits.

As your therapist, I’ll strive to provide an environment of healing where we can gain valuable insight and work together.

I will incorporate activities that empower you to practice the skills we learn and apply them to your daily life. I work from a Person-Centered approach, which means I put you first as a person, treat you with respect, and provide a nonjudgmental environment where you can grow, learn, and shape your own potential.

About Me*: I began my educational journey with my BA in Psychology from the University of Houston and later pursued my Masters in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Houston Clear Lake.  Gaining experience as an intern, I worked with children and adults in settings such as private practice, non-profits, schools, community mental health, and at an in-patient/out-patient recovery center. I utilized evidenced-based modalities such as play therapy, sand tray therapy, and bibliotherapy, as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). After working with a wide range of clients, I have come to appreciate using an eclectic approach so that I can better meet your needs by shaping therapy around who you are as a person.

I specialize in working with individuals seeking support for codependency, intimate partner violence, self-worth struggles, anxiety, depression, trauma recovery, stress management, as well as general issues. I have experience working with individuals in recovery and seeking help for managing chronic pain. No issue is too small. We all need an outlet for our feelings and we don’t always have someone to turn to or someone that will listen without judgment.

If you’re ready to begin exploring who you are, contact me for a 15-minute complimentary consultation and learn how we can work together to process your struggles, and how we can help you make changes in your life.

Fun Facts:

I’m an Astros and Rockets fan! I enjoy supporting my community by volunteering for different events. I love animals and have 3 cats and 2 dogs. I enjoy reading and crafting in my spare time (although, I’m not the most creative person), and I love playing Animal Crossing.
