“In helping yourself, you help others. By helping others, we change the world.”
Hi, I’m Alex* and I have a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Sam Houston State University, my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at Dallas, and I’m currently under supervision by Jessica Eiseman, MS, LPC-S, NCC. I’ve been studying the human condition and learning about the mind for about seven years now. In that time, I’ve spent a great deal of effort trying to understand the actions, behaviors, and feelings of others.
I also happen to have a unique background. I’ve lived all over the world in such places as Dubai, Denmark, Taiwan, and Korea. I have also visited several other countries and it gave me a passion for meeting, learning, and interacting with people from different cultures.
I would describe myself as honest, encouraging, helpful, and understanding. I will never judge you for anything you tell me and will do my best to put myself in your shoes. No matter how big or small your problems are, I want to engage with you and collaborate towards a future in which happiness is part of your life.
The final thought I would like to leave you with is that I live for that moment where suddenly everything becomes clear: that “aha” moment in which your life is changed for the better. I hope to encourage and be a part of many of those moments for you.
Fun facts: Nature is my happy place (no wonder green is my favorite color). I love learning – I’m always taking lessons on the side or trying to investigate new topics. I also really enjoy weightlifting which I feel gives me balance in my life.
