Christina Avila, MA, LPC Associate (she/her)

Hi, my name is Christina Avila*. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate committed to supporting you through life’s difficult moments, while showing you acceptance, empathy and kindness. I have experience focusing and working through trauma, anxiety, grief, depression, relationship issues and behaviors. As your therapist, I work from a Person-Centered approach and provide a non-judgmental space to focus on your growth and empowerment, while striving to meet your therapeutic goals.

About me: I grew up in Houston and lived in San Antonio for many years. I have a B.A. in psychology from the University of the Incarnate Word and a M.A. in Community Counseling from the University of Texas at San Antonio. My first career was as an academic advisor for college students, and most recently, I worked with teens who experienced trauma. I also come from a military family and have experience working with veterans.
