Daniela Nuño (she/her)

Hi! I am Daniela (or Dani), and I am currently a graduate clinical mental health counseling student at the University of Houston. I believe that humans are multidimensional beings – complex, abstract art pieces comprising many unique parts. The heart of the collective human experience lies in remaining curious about ourselves and seeking to be seen and understood. I am honored to embark on a self-exploration journey with you by co-creating a nurturing and safe therapeutic relationship.

In our therapeutic space, my utmost goal is to create a warm and down-to-earth environment that prioritizes compassion, acceptance, openness,clarity, and authenticity. I recognize the immense courage it takes to be completely vulnerable with another individual. I strive to comprehend the intricacies of your unique self, as well as the profound influence of your cultures and systems on your identity and experiences. In this way, I am fully committed to honoring and respecting every part of who you are –because nothing is too small and everything you share with me is valuable.

My therapeutic approach integrates various modalities, including narrative therapy, person-centered therapy, and mindfulness-basedtherapy. This combination allows us to delve into your life narrative, seeking tailored methods to enhance your self-awareness, personal growth, and holistic well-being in an authentically empathic and empowering environment.

Outside of counseling, I love spending time with my family and engaging in soul-filling activities! I enjoy weightlifting, walking/running, hiking, biking, swimming, and yoga. I also love to read, listen to podcasts, learn new languages, draw, attend shows and concerts, explore the city, and travel (especially to beaches)!
