social justice therapist HoustonI believe we all can benefit from creating intentional space to make sense of our life journeys, experiences, relationships, and needs- whether it be to feel better on our current path or learn new skills for a much-needed detour! Though it can feel like it at times, we are never truly alone, and we don’t have to do it all alone! I am enthusiastic and committed to supporting people in counseling with attention, acceptance, appreciation, allowing, and affection, to help explore and support their unique needs. My goal is to provide a protected space to explore sacred parts of yourself guided with therapeutic skills and information, and my deepest hope for your wellbeing. I view therapy relationships as mutually transformative and look forward to working with You from a place of authenticity, compassion, and collaboration.

About Me I’m Lizz/Elizabeth (she/her), I was raised by my parents and community, in the Pacific Northwest to be deeply connected to magic and knowing the woods, ocean, rivers, and desert provided. As an adult, I felt urged to move, learn, and connect with people in places like San Francisco, Seattle, Eugene, Austin, Houston, and Albuquerque, NM among others. Being a nomad has allowed me to create relationships and community with many wonderful people from backgrounds very different than my own. The experience of sharing and growing in relation to others has been the most meaningful part of the journey thus far!

Education I graduated from University of Oregon with a Bachelor of science degree in Psychology in 2017. I completed graduate studies in clinical mental health counseling at Lamar University in 2020. I am licensed by the state of Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and am a National Certified Counselor (NCC) by the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC). I am certified as a victim’s services advocate by the Texas Office of the Attorney General and provide crisis advocacy and counseling services for survivors of relationship and family violence.

Fun Facts I spend my free time enjoying life with my daughter and two dogs, Zaura and Zen, making art on random things, attending live music shows, growing gardens, exploring Mother Earth, and connecting with others to help dismantle oppressive and harmful social systems to create a more connected, loving society for all!
