Hi! I am Fabiola Bautista, but you can call me Faby. I am originally from Mexico, so Spanish is my first language. I can provide therapy fully in Spanish for those who prefer it. I am an LPC and received my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of St. Thomas. I also graduated from St. Thomas with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.
Multiple questions may be going through your mind as you explore who you should trust to disclose your life to. Why should you choose me as your counselor? To this question, I say, you should choose a counselor that is the right fit for you. Someone that you can feel comfortable, safe, and heard. What do I offer that is unique and effective? I offer who I am, and that is difficult to put into words, but I will try my best (and that is what matters!). I am a caring, reliable, attentive individual that dedicates her career to supporting others in their journey. I aim to build a therapeutic relationship where there is no judgment, and you feel empowered to initiate the changes in your life. Whether you want to work on discovering your strengths, modifying thinking errors, process trauma, or working on yourself, I am here to help. How can I help you if I am a stranger? I am not the expert in my sessions. You are the expert of your own life. I am merely a companion that will implement her knowledge as a therapist to help you explore and manage whatever you choose to focus on our sessions. I bring in cognitive restructuring, challenging core beliefs, mindfulness, healthy coping skills, and various other cognitive-behavioral techniques that best suit you. I look forward to speaking with you!
