Hey there! My name is Josh, and I am currently pursuing an M.Ed in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Houston. This is also where I received my B.A. in Communications. As a Houston native, I was raised in the wonderfully diverse and inclusive community that our great city provides. Because of this, I value and cherish every individual as a unique personification of what makes this city great. I have experience in a variety of therapeutic techniques, with a strong emphasis on the person-centered approach. This method allows you the freedom to discuss anything on your mind, knowing that I am here to listen with an empathetic genuineness that can be hard to find in others. One of my main goals as a therapist is to provide you freedom to feel – to express yourself openly and honestly – all while receiving compassion, understanding, and guidance through a therapeutic lens.Â
Fun facts about me:Â
I am a redhead! My great-grandparents emigrated to the United States from Ireland, bringing their bright red hair all the way to Texas and gifting it to me. I love sports, specifically baseball (go ‘Stros!) and am an avid music listener. One unique skill I have is juggling, which I think comes with the red hair. Last but not least, I have a sweet puppy named Nala!
